Not Guilty! Client had a breath test of .14 and was found asleep behind the wheel. We were able to expose the holes in the State's case and Justice truly was served today.  Our client holds a Commercial Drivers License and a conviction on his record could have possibly put his livelihood at risk. To make the matter more challenging, there was an accident involved. However, we aggressively fought for our client and in less than 10 minutes, the great people of Sequin brought back a not guilty verdict. Our client was accused of committing the crime of Theft $50-500, which is a Class B misdemeanor in Texas. More importantly, she was not a citizen or resident of this country. However, she was here legally via a Visitor Visa. The crime which she was accused of is a crime of moral turpitude under Texas law, which in turn would jeopardize here legal status in our country. Yet, we fought and protected her rights and interests and at the end of the day, the State of Texas dismissed her case due to insufficient evidence.
